The BEST Kajabi Alternative No One’s Talking About

Let me guess: you googled Kajabi alternative and then got more confused?

‘Cos, same.

All you want to know is: is there a cheaper alternative to Kajabi that’ll be basically as good without the hefty price tag?

There is…it’s called Teachery, and it’s SO much more affordable than I ever thought a hosting platform could be.

I’ve been using it for over a year now for all my courses and I have SOME THOUGHTS 💭💭💭

(including who should and shouldn’t use it).

When I found Teachery I was…pleasantly surprised.

Teachery is like the thoughtful kid in class who always hands their assignments in early and brings snacks.

It’s clean, clear, uncomplicated, and unlike Kajabi it doesn’t cost $197USD even if you haven’t sold a *single* digital product that month. It also has a response desk that feels quite personal.

Not quite 24 hour support, but they get back to you ASAP within their 8 hour day working window.

Now let’s dive into some more details:

✅ PROS of Teachery (why it might be an alternative to Kajabi)

1. Pay once and get access forever

Teachery offers a simple one time payment for lifetime access. When I was figuring out whether or not to invest in Kajabi, this deal felt too good to be true….$550USD for access forever?

Initially I didn’t trust it, because compared to Kajabi prices at $197USD per month…it’s bananas 🤯

But I took the leap anyway, because I figured – even if I hate it, the LIFETIME access price is equivalent to 3 months worth of Kajabi.

And I’m happy to say I’ve been using it for 9 months now and I’m so glad I didn’t go for something more expensive, because I didn’t need anything more complicated at the time.

(I might in the future – more on that soon).

2. Ridiculously easy to use

My last hosting platform was so difficult to use. EVERY time I had to update something I’d get confused, go down a rabbit hole of how-to videos, and send a million help desk requests for every new task I had to learn.

With Teachery, it was the opposite.

I had my 3 digital products and courses ready-to-go and loaded within one day (and I am not tech savvy).

The interface is friendly, intuitive, and designed for humans who don’t want to spend 7 hours watching onboarding videos.

You can literally build a course in an afternoon and start selling the next day.

3. Beautifully minimal design

Teachery gives you clean, distraction-free templates that keep the focus on your content – not on flashing buttons or rogue hover effects. If you want to customise the design and make it look prettier, you can, but I’ve stuck to the basics because design is not my thing.

4. Unlimited everything

No caps on courses, students, landing pages, or sales, which is rare in the land of “starter plan” bait-and-switches.

5. Custom domains and Stripe-friendly

Want it to feel like your brand? Teachery plays nice with custom domains, branding, and even lets you embed Stripe for payments with no additional fees.

6. Great for lean launches and digital products

Running a mini course? Selling a digital template pack? Want a fast place to host your workshop replay? Teachery is built for that kind of speed and flexibility…and the best part?

With lifetime access, you don’t have to worry about how many sales you’re making to cover which makes it a great alternative to Kajabi with its $197USD monthly fee.

😬 CONS of Teachery (aka why it might not be your forever platform)

Okay, so there are some caveats because $550USD is not going to be a one-size-fits-all solution…and honestly, in the future I might have to switch.

1. It’s not ideal for BIG courses or complex ecosystems

If your course has 87 video lessons, nested modules, timed unlocks, automations, quizzes, and an end-of-course confetti explosion…Teachery isn’t the hosting platform for you.

It’s perfect for streamlined offers, but if you have a large course with multiple modules, sublessons and a ton of downloads?

It can start to look messy because it doesn’t have  the functionality to break the content up in the same way that Kajabi can.

My signature course has a lot of content, and it was only with THIS course that I’ve begun to understand the limitations of Teachery…less user-friendly and a little more difficult for the user to navigate when there’s a ton of content (think 100+ videos in one course).

However, my most popular course (How to makeover your Website’s Personality) is perfect for Teachery, because it’s got dense modules and not a large section of sprawling resources and video content.

2. No native video hosting with this Kajabi alternative

You’ll need to host your videos somewhere else (like Vimeo or Loom), then embed them in Teachery.

This wasn’t a deal-breaker for me – more just good to know – because I recorded all my content on Loom, then copy and pasted the embed code straight to Teachery – SIMPLE.

3. No built-in community or membership portal

There’s no Kajabi-style member community baked in. If you want your course to have discussion threads or a vibe-y cohort feel, you’ll need to integrate with Circle, Slack, or something similar.

4. Limited email and automation features

Teachery doesn’t pretend to be your email platform. It integrates with tools like ConvertKit, Mailchimp, and Flodesk., but if you want to build complex automations or funnels inside the course platform? Not here.

So, is Teachery the best Kajabi alternative?

Just know that if you’re planning a giant evergreen course with 9 funnels, a built-in podcast, and a live-chat concierge service…Teachery’s not the one for you.

HOWEVER…

If you’re just starting out OR launching a no-fuss course, digital product, or mini offer…and you care more about clarity, speed, and clean design than a shiny all-in-one-platform with the bells and whistles…then YES.

Teachery is a simple, affordable and honestly incredible Kajabi alternative that lets you launch fast, scale smart, and stay out of the tech weeds.

You’ll be obsessed with Teachery, and so will  your bank account.

And if you want access to the same lifetime access deal that I got 9 months ago…you can access that HERE.
